Overview: Student Research Prizes
We will award prizes to students who have produced excellent pieces of research with relevance to AI governance. See our research agenda for a non-comprehensive overview of relevant research areas. Eligible submissions will include undergraduate and master’s theses, journal articles, and essays.
There will be two prize categories, for research produced by undergraduate and graduate students respectively. We will select up to two winners for each prize. In addition, we will award commendation prizes in each category.
Winners of the Undergraduate Student Research Prize will receive £5,000, while undergraduate winners of commendation prizes will receive £1,000. Winners of the Graduate Essay Prize will receive £15,000, while graduate winners of commendation prizes will receive £3,000. All essay prize winners will be eligible for mentoring. Their winning submissions will also be displayed on the GovAI website.
