Elias Groll is the Senior Research Editor at GovAI, where he works with teams across the organisation to produce rigorous, policy-relevant research. Before joining GovAI, Elias spent over a decade as a journalist and editor covering technology and national security issues. He was a writer and editor at Foreign Policy and the senior editor at CyberScoop, where he led coverage of cybersecurity and tech policy. He was also the managing editor at the Brookings Institution’s AI and Emerging Technology Initiative. He received his masters degree in Public Policy with distinction from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford. He received his bachelor's degree in Social Studies from Harvard University, where he served as Managing Editor of The Harvard Crimson.
