
Kevin (he/they) studies how advanced AI systems can be assessed and governed safely. Specifically, their research interests are in developing rigorous methods for AI evaluation, building AI that follows the law, and advancing AI governance. Kevin's peer reviewed work has appeared in leading AI venues, including the International Conference on Machine Learning and Transactions on Machine Learning Research. Previously, they were a visiting researcher at the UK AI Security Institute and a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University.
Kevin is also affiliated with the Oxford Martin School’s AI Governance Initiative and the RAND Center for AI, Security, and Technology. They hold a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an M.S. in Machine Learning from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
